Catching Up Time...

Oh my, am I behind in informing the public of my endeavors...or whatever. Anywho, Tuesday was my birthday. Mr. Hawk came to visit the yard for the first time this year, so that made my day for a bit. At least until we began to wonder about the morning dove feathers. :/ Then we went to Famous Dave's for dinner, which was awesome!! I got my mom's corn on the cob and Dad's cornbread muffin on top of my usual apples and burger, so that was sweet. But that meant I could barely finish the last few bites of the burger....I was content to leave the last little bit, but the waiter came by and said "You're so close though, come on!" I had to point out I also had the corn and muffin, so he gave me that. But when he left, I ate those last few bites anyways. His reaction when he came back was awesome! :) Oh, and I also got to talk to Andrea from elementary school, which was also sweet!

Then I got the Sims 3. Hells yeah!

Now since then, on Friday I went to see The Ugly Truth with Chantel and Keather. Man that day was the greatest....we went to the mall, which was a sort of wandering around/let's help Keather out day! Poor Keather, her phone died and she was having problems with Charlotte Russe because they won't give her her last paycheck...but anyways, we had everything for her taken care of! Plus we got to wander around Walden's, somehow talked Chantel into getting The Dark Hunters manga (no sex in it, so I don't really want to bother when I've already read the books :P ), then got an Orange Julius at the mall. After, we went to see The Ugly Truth.

It. Was. AWESOME!

I loved it. To the point that I think it'd be cool to buy it when the movie comes out on DVD. I loved all the jokes, the premise of the movie, all of it! :D

And now for today's bit of news: Wellll, Jolene is having a bonfire for Jackass, as a chance to say goodbye to him. And I was invited. Not heard about it through Facebook or word of mouth, I got a direct invite to this. Now, two things happened. 1) I thought no way in hell am I going to go, not when he's been treating me like shit for the past few months, dating my cousin, etc., and 2) I was actually very shocked that I got an invite....yet flattered. Because to me, this gave me that feeling that maybe she and the others didn't see me as a loser, that I was all right. All right enough to get invited to this thing, apparently.

The most action I'm planning on making is telling Jolene how much I appreciated the invite, but since he's being an ass to me, I'd rather not deal with the verbal abuse in person....and I'm not so cruel as to ruin a party meant for him. :/

But anways.

Awesome Cousin I've Got, Right...

I am just about to start an epic retelling of my vacation, but first, I think I should start with the goings-on of yesterday.

Monday was pretty typical, but pretty fun. Mom and I went to the Attic for lunch with the relatives, and we got to see the aunts and uncles....then Tiffany showed up, so it was awesome to see her! Tia and Tessa were also there, which was also really cool, and Tessa's birthday was Monday too, so she was spoiled. As usual. Silly aunts....mostly Aunt Ruth does the spoiling though.

Then after lunch, we went to Vision Care to pick up my mom's new pair of glasses. They're cute, and she likes them, so I'm happy. :P

Been doing quite a bit of reading, or at least trying to. I started Tina Donahue during the trip, called Close to Perfect. Super hot cover and super hot book, but I wish I was farther in than I am. :/

I'm also looking forward to my birthday, sort of. One week to the day. I told my parents I wanted the Sims 3 for my birthday, which I'm somewhat looking forward to? I'm iffy because of people's complaints, but I think sometimes people just whine too much.

And on top of it, I'll be 18. And I have no clue if I'll have a party, or celebrate, or whatever. It's just....why put the work into it, when I'll be stressing about impressing everyone else. I'll be more concerned about whether everyone else is enjoying themselves, when it's a party for myself....which is point #2--I hate celebrating myself. It makes me feel conceited, self-centered, etc. :/ Ah well....

And surprise! Whymyexsucks.com thought Jackass's three flaws were worthy of popping up on the site. Surprised me at least, but I was especially pleased by the title. What can I say, there's always a rogue in the family...or a very stupid relative. Check it here --> http://whymyexsucks.com/post/140788695/awesome-cousin-youve-got

*Cough*

Happy Birthday wishes must go to the King of Sexiness, the epitome of my characters, the source of my inspiration. Oh yes, Rafael.

Dis is also part of the motivation for learning Portuguese: nah, I don't plan on meeting THE, Rafael, but the language is as beautiful as he is.....*purr*

I had a nostalgic moment today when we bought this cute ceramic fox at ShopKo. It reminded me of the little deer that currently sits on our front step...I want to call it ceramic, but it seems like it's made more out of concrete, even though there's really not much of a difference there...but anyway, I was very good friends with my neighbor Nicole (bless her heart for still sticking around, even after she moved), and she had a larger, plastic baby deer. So I would take my little deer and hers and we'd carry them around with us and such, play with them, etc. Then one day I dropped my deer a little, and I had what was probably a big "OH NOES!" moment. Yes I just said that, and yeah I'm pretty sure I overreacted when it happened. And it's not even that big of a deal to me anymore--we never glued what little pieces broke off, and it seems to give the deer personality. But I still remember us playing with our deer and having a blast doing it.

Now speaking of ShopKo, I applied for a job at the one on 41st Street. :) Yuup, I finally am going to get a job. And if all goes well, I might even get to work with Megan, hopefully. It would sure help a lot with my nerves at least...

I can't tell if I have a cold, allergies, or the swine flu. At first I thought it was a bad cold or something to do with the weather, as like I said before, I was getting hot and chills and sore throat, blah blah blah. Next day, the sun was out, the birds were chirping, and I was feeling pretty good. Still sore throat though. Next day, news declares swine flu a pandemic. Ohhhhh I'm scared. Although I wondered if I could've caught it--not to make myself panic, nooooo, instead I was thinking "Whoa, that'd be pretty sweet if I did have swine flu! How many could say they got it..."

Well, that day it had also rained. Now today: sun was back out, but with the rain before, I can't tell if it's a cold, or if the weather really spurred on my allergies. I've been sneezing up a storm, needing tissues like crazy too. Curses, I'm out of tissues in my room too, should've gotten that when we were out shopping too. Meh.

Also, I'm becoming desperate for a new laptop. This current one has specs that are downright pitiful, and recently decided it is running out of hard drive space. The one I want, is $699 and on the outlet list on Best Buy's website. I am so desperate I want to cry, it's that saddening. Just so I have it noted: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9164343&type=product&id=1218040476937

I want you so bad, it's like I'm insane. Gahhh.
