Random Things I Know About Hot Canadian Bacon

  • He's been in med school, law school, and is now in business school.
  • I lied. He was never in law school, but he is way too damn good at it. The reason he never went for law is because he doesn't like destroying lives. Even though he hates freshmen sometimes.
  • His undergrad degree is for marketing and something else.
  • He's played lacrosse, hockey, and soccer. I don't remember the others at the moment...
  • He went to the private college in Mitchell on a golfing scholarship. And he really likes golfing.
  • I lied again. He's nonplussed with golfing. Hates it at times, but he had to enjoy it at some point to get in on a scholarship.
  • Speaking of hockey, he's playing for USD's hockey team this year.
  • He has acting experience.
  • He has modeling experience.
  • The acting experience is a large part of how he has a strange gay voice and even stranger pedophile voice.
  • He not only looks kinda like John Mayer, but he looks like the male model on the cover of one of JR Ward's books. Leonardo DiCaprio is also on the list, as determined by a group of 4 psychotic freshmen that just walked into his apartment one day. Neeeeever leave your door open.
  • He's from the Toronto area, close enough to Quebec that he's pretty fluent in French.
  • His family's most definitely from England, and he can do a spot-on Irish accent.
  • Whenever the mention of caffeine comes up, he quotes Talladega Nights.
  • He sings to himself when he's in his office.
  • He really does say 'Eh' quite often...
  • His car is fucking sweet and metallic gray in color.
  • He loves the classy suits and is a total metrosexual, but not as much as the neighbor who obsesses over his shoelaces.
  • He's 25.
  • It's freaking hilarious when he's on three cups of coffee and nonstop energy drinks.
  • It's almost impossible to wake him up after 4 hours of sleep have passed.
  • His two requirements in women are that they're 18 and they're crazy.
  • However, he admitted once that as hot as he finds crazy women, it's not what he actually wants....pretty much.
  • He has to go gluten-free and is allergic to water.
  • His middle name is Kevin.
  • He actually has a record for indecent exposure....twice, I think. I wish I had been there to see it.
  • He handles his relationships the way he does hockey. He doesn't stretch it out, he just cuts it at the tendon.
  • Longest time he's gone without a relationship is 5 months. And counting.
  • He wants to stay in the US.
  • He's also convinced he'll end up deported before the end of the semester, either for a freshman accusing sexual harassment or his immigration papers not going through correctly.
  • Based on this list, he spends too damn much time at the front desk. As do I. >.>

Stupidity and Immaturity

I was up till 3 am Sunday morning because of duty. We had one room of assholes who didn't know to close the door when you have illegal alcohol in the dorms.

I was then woken up at 8:15 am because I felt like shit and I couldn't breathe from the shitty sinuses draining into my throat.

I spent a good majority of my day helping students establish an internet connection on a couple dozen computers (none of which used Vista, every damn one of them had Windows 7 on it), all because the IT desk was closed. Two other CAs and I volunteered to help them all, and I had a little fun with it.

I discovered not only will the kids ignore the fact that I asked them to clean up the packing boxes from the hallways, they ALSO decided that was the best place to leave McDonald's bags. In the fucking hallway. How old are these freshmen again?

I spend a good deal of time with the front desk also because I was fucking bored. Things are chillin', and then I look up and see a mouse running around inside one of the light panes. We got pictures. It was awesome.

I had my first serious duty experience tonight--and I wasn't even on duty. We were hanging out at the front desk, and someone came down because a roommate was having a seizure. Strangely enough, two of us chilling were CAs that weren't on duty, but we ran up there ASAP anyways. I even had to call the hall director and duty people to get there. Public Safety and EMS was pretty damn fast, they were. And then I had my first documentation to write up--with the help of our Canadian hall director who wanted to spell 'bystander' as 'bystandard'.

I am on the verge of ripping the kids on my floor a new one. They have no concept of responsibility--and when they easily could've, they didn't. They were not only belligerent to my fellow CAs, but they left new garbage that wasn't there before they cleaned up the shit. I won't feel bad at all of so few people show up for our first mandatory meeting and won't get to vote on 24 hour visitation. I love talking with the girls, but a good number of them were shitty at cleaning. I was glad the guys kept their side pretty clean, but they were belligerent and becoming more trouble than they're worth.

I cannot wait for classes to start when things should settle down. So far, the freshmen have proven to be a good number of assholes and ignorant children who can't take out their own garbage, let alone use their indoor voices.

FUCKING HELL

1:30 AM is an Active Time

So I have a tendency to pull late nights on a regular basis. Annnnnnd since I like showering before I go to bed, that means I usually shower very late, also.

Tonight I was able to have a little earlier shower, which actually meant a little before 1:20 AM. I finish up around 1:40, and just as I was going to enter my room, out comes one of our residents on the floor. His name is Gabe, which is irrelevant to this story, but it's my way of remembering it. It was actually quite convenient and hilarious at the same time. My delivery was probably a little strange since it was like "Hi, how're you doing?" and then.......blank. All I could think of was that it's around 1:30 in the morning, and I just stepped out of the shower, and he's still awake.

I ended up standing there talking with him a little. But it wasn't till we parted ways that I realized just how awkward I really probably looked to him. Not only had I just left the shower, but I had left in a pair of shorts and a zippered hoodie. Underneath that was a very old Daytona shirt with Dale Jr.'s #3 Oreo car on it, and is technically a boys' size 16 shirt. Awkward, but hell I was comfy and am ready to crawl into bed in a moment's notice. Yes!

Quote of the Night

"I think we need to brush up on our futuristic sex movies this year."

And this is from my boss, the hall director. She's officially amazing in my books, even if she risks being the tough HD of the group. :D

Hah

Surprising/Entertaining moment of the day?

Going down to the programming room to drop off supplies and discovering three other CAs talking in there. It's past 2:30 AM.

I predict there's going to be a lot of that. :P

Reminiscing...Just Not Like That

Shaq is not meant for motorsports. Granted, he's made it known that his personal vehicles are closer to monster trucks than cars because he just doesn't freaking FIT in them....so Tuesday was the premiere of Shaq Vs. It was pretty entertaining, mostly because he's got a really good sense of humor.

And he fell over a fake horse in Dale Jr.'s yard while trying to mount it. Freaking HILARIOUS.

So of course, Jr's got to give Shaq a tour, and one of the first things that he notices is that there are some of Dale's old firesuits framed and hung on the wall. The one that Shaq finds most interesting? His old charred firesuit from when he was racing for the Grand Prix at Sonoma. Long story short, this was the result--and it wasn't even during the race, this was practice.

Ahh, such an interesting year...and that crash left a nasty little scar patch on his neck. It's still sort of noticeable, even though he's now opted for the epic beard. HOWEVER, the epic long hair he grew after this accident is MUCH smexier. :3

Also, I don't know if I appreciate Erin McCarthy referring to the bearded Nascar drivers as 'weird mountain men'. Seriously. Especially when the most popular driver for some six years running is one of them. >.>

Carry on now...

Awkward Much?

I've been holding off, but wow. 18 counted page views on July 24th alone. In six minutes.

Srsly, who the fuck does this sort of thing?

.......Oh. :/
