Awww Hell.

Today was the day I learned something quite interesting. By January, a surprisingly large number of my friends will be leaving--and not just graduating, I mean leaving the big country. Gone. And while for a few it's only like a semester or so, I don't know about the rest of them.

Laurel is going to Ireland to study abroad for the semester. HCB is moving to South Korea for teaching/PhD stuffs (and holy FUCK don't get me started on that now). And as of today, Cira is moving to Germany. Cira, my little freshman, the one person on staff who I could probably say knew me the best, even though she didn't know me the longest. The two of us were so like-minded...but now she's gone, and who the hell knows who's replacing her next semester.

Fuck.....it's one thing to leave Vermillion. It's another thing to leave North America. :/

What Is This...

Gah, what sort of weird shit is this?? Today I make friends with a grad student in my cultural studies class who likes to talk a LOT (however, he proved to be extremely useful in helping me come up with my paper topic). When I'm finally sick of the talking on Facebook I go offline. Just before midnight, I get a text from HCB asking if I'm still alive...

Wait. What? He's texting me to see how I'm doing all because he hasn't heard/seen from me in a week? This is....well, this is new to me. For the most part.Which led my reaction to be "You bastard, you just made me go d'awwwww for showing concern for me!" D:

Gawd.

Bad Ideas at 3 AM

It's late. So very late. And I have studying to do still. Shit....

I've realized that I have a cap to giving a shit about things. Last week was stressful as hell, extremely stressful. Now that the week has come and gone, I've pretty much quit giving a shit and have started enjoying life a little.

Then again, I'm afraid that the past couple of days I've shot my mouth off far too often to my own liking, and about stuff that may have pissed some people off. Again, I don't really care, and besides, if they get to know me longer they'll see I'm not usually such a bitch.

But still. I'm borderline stressed as it is, I'm only going to get more stressed as the week goes on...and I really should get back to work so that the stress doesn't get even worse tonight. :/

It's Been a Long Day.

It's times like these that I'm reminded that one person can only make things more inconvenient. Also, I'm capable of choosing my friends, and that those friends know what I'm capable of and what I've proven to be good at. I don't have to be friends with my boss, which was evident last year for sure. Besides, every spelling typo I come across now just makes me want to crawl into a ball and cringe...how do you live past legal drinking age without the ability to spell residents right using Microsoft Word? Was it too fucking difficult to turn on your Spellcheck? Probably, considering how often the HD has not only misspelled shit that didn't have a decent excuse like Spellcheck missing the correct usage of your/you're, but she also is late to EVERYTHING. Don't you dare try and tell me that you're organized and try to be as objective as possible when that person is the one who's also late to every CA training session, couldn't get to us applications till yesterday, decided who to hire an hour after interviewing everyone, and still act like a fucking 12-year-old who uses 'legit' in presentations and likes to bash country music and preach folk/bluegrass music....oh, wait. Bluegrass IS country music. Like she didn't come off like a hypocrite already...

I swear, if she makes any more immature backhanded comments....she's going to see my adult side.

Still pissed that someone stole my sweatshirt today, though. >:/

4th Floor Whore 4Eva

I try to stay positive, I really do. I want to be able to say that it's no big deal, and that this semester will be awesome and great and stress-free. But I just can't. Just because they put me on 4th floor--again--for the second year in a row--doesn't mean that I'm a second thought and that housing could care less about me. Even though I never wanted an all-girls floor, that doesn't mean they think I deserve whatever-the-fuck-am-I-thinking.

Exactly. What am I thinking? That housing really couldn't give a shit about what you request. Ahh you want the co-ed Honors floor? Well fuck you, we'll put you on sky-high all-girls 4th floor! Don't worry, you'll only have to put up with 60 girls pumped full of estrogen and tears, and the ceiling only leaks every other day when the snow melts off the roof.

Why is it my only saving grace is the fact that I know I now have a large whiteboard waiting for me next to my door, and my window faces the south. Nothing like Burger King outside your window to remind you of home just a little more.

I'm psyched that I have Laurel and Cira on my staff, I really am! Even though I don't even know how much they'll be around for training, since marching band has practice in the next week or so or whatever. But save for Joe, whom I'm hoping won't follow me around like a frigging dog for the next two weeks, I don't really know my staff. Is that a big deal? Nah. But knowing them, they'll insist we sit together as staff during the entirety of training, and on top of dressing up in ridiculous outfits for the 'bonding' I'm sure they'll still insist on still doing the icebreakers every day. FML.

I swear, this job needs a disclaimer saying that prior acting experience is required. I'm definitely not feeling the enthusiasm now, I doubt I'll feel it when training actually starts up (fuck, 9am training?!), and I know I won't feel it when they make us act out some lame-ass skit because it's supposed to bring about 'bonding'. BS.

.........I'm also starting to think that I should get out of TracFone. I'm cool with my phone and all, and I've been lucky with their services. Annnnnd then I found out that I can receive international texts, but can't send them. Wtf? From the looks of it now, TracFone doesn't allow international texting. Well guess what. That CA job is a source of income, and I'm starting to think it's time I switch to Verizon or something. Prepaid or contract, idk. It's a vulnerable time for me, one where people could convince me to go into shitty phone contracts or lure me into horrible phone providers. But Verizon is by far the most popular around here, and since my uncle had to show my mom that Android phones have an app for listening to police scanners...hmmm.

A Quickie Letter

Dear Subaru,

Your commercial for the Forester makes me feel all sorts of emotions. First, the editor in me feels that forester is a weird way to spell this word. Second, the music feels too damn catchy. Third, you do realize that my lifelong goal is that when I have children, I will have three boys. No arguments. Sooo when I realized your commercial not only showed three boys in the backseat of the Forester, but that all three were lil hockey boys....

No. I will not buy your vehicle, now. My boys will be little midget car racers, then sprint cars, then the big leagues. I will resist this future portrayed, even if the implications make me giggle all ebil-like.

Sincerely,
Me.

(I will be hell for whoever decides to tie me down, I swear...)

This Really Has No Point To It

Ugh. In my reminiscing of Nancy Drew games, I'm starting to notice random crap that I otherwise never cared to notice until now. I otherwise wasn't a big fan of the Scarlet Hand one 'cause frankly I could care less about Mayan stuff, but it has a strange place in my heart solely with the Verm reference. Trust me, it feels weird when you're dialing your own area code into a game.

The Phantom of Venice was always one I avoided playing because some of the puzzles are a serious pain in the ass. I don't know what I hate more, the filling/draining pits to find the end, the filling/draining meters to end the game, the horrible dancing shit, the damn scopa that is otherwise very fun when you're not cursing at it for screwing you over.....and yet I feel like it's by far one of the best storylines they've had in the games. Sure, I love some of the others for their locations and characters and plots, but there was something about having to cross into the dark side to get the job done that made it much more...intriguing.

Then I just had to go and reinstall White Wolf. Where it never dawned on me that oh shit, it's set in Canada. And now everything Canada-related plagues me and makes me either want to shake my head, cry, or insultingly giggle at every moment. I didn't notice with any amount of caring that there was a big maple leaf behind the desk. I didn't realize that the character from Toronto has the most stereotypical Norwegian/Canadian accent I've ever heard, now that I know no one from there actually sounds like that. I'm scared of what else I'm going to come across. D:

I knew I should've bought the cheap download version of the one in New Orleans. I've been itching to play it and its semi-creepiness just because I've been reading a couple books set there. Although I really should download Blackmoor Mansion too then...

Anyways. HCB decided to delete his grad school account, so I gave him crap for it. Now I can compliment his little bro's awesomeness around people who actually know his little bro. :3

At least he waited till I got his home account before deleting the grad one. And I was due to give him crap for something, since it's been about a week since he bothered me two days in a row. I like to think he may actually miss me just a *teeny* bit. The bastard.
