College. Is. AWESOME!

Ok, so classes officially started today at 4 pm, but since I don't have anything that late, wellllll I don't start till tomorrow at 11 am for Calc...But no matter! Because I've been having a BLAST getting to meet new people! :D

Of the people I have met, two guys have really stuck out in my head, Darren and Brian. Darren used to work for Wall Drug in the summer and used to play football (maybe even basketball), and was named homecoming king of his rather small school. Then Brian has actually lived all over the world, yes world, and had last lived in the Phillippines where he was considered of legal age to drink...odd fact, but ah well...and Brian also is going into the Army. And Keather as my roommate....bah, don't get me started there. It's not that she's a horrible roommate, it's just....she's clingy, and I really want to make my own friends.

But I will dwell on that later, right now I'm gonna get ready for our floor meeting coming up in 15. Sweet! :D

When Mods Are Just Too Damn Lazy

It's official. I think every moderator lurking on a forum of any kind can kiss my ass.

First, they have yet to reply to my email at the Dark-Hunter BBS. All righty then, you don't want to respond? Then I'll keep on posting in the help center, pointing out that they've yet to reply. It'll be a month and I'll have to go "Hey, it's been a month now, what's the deal?"

Second, EA has banned the notable aarin. Fuck that. At least aarin was helpful. Most others just have fun picking fights amongst each other to the point that both sides should be banned. But nope, they ban aarin instead, all because she mentioned a no CD crack from awesomemod. Gag me. Ah, and not just any ban. PERMABAN.

Oh well. Assholes.

Major Shopping Spree Day

Today was an epic shopping spree day, yes! We ended up stopping at a half dozen stores looking for the perfect mini fridge for the dorm, but it was worth it in the end. Before that though, we stopped at Kohl's for some new jeans.....went to Dunn Bros for some downtime....got the mini fridge at Walmart, which is actually 2.7 cubic feet, larger than the 1.7 I was going to settle for, hells yeah! Then went to Lewis where I picked up a couple notebooks and a new book. Geeze, I swear the entire city is sold out of normal Five Star 5 subject notebooks....college ruled, mind you.

Soooo anyways, the book I picked up was Black Hills, by Nora Roberts. Now mind you, I HATE Roberts. I did buy one of her books before, but I never actually read it...and I also am not a fan of her popularity. As in, stores will buy her books by the truckload and sell them at the top of the bookshelves. They really don't need that many copies, seriously...

However, this book I shall definitely read. Not only is it hardcover and I plan on getting my money's worth, but it's set in, well, the Black Hills. Score 1 for the author who writes too much! :P

And on a more interesting note, it mentions a cougar in the description. I believe it's a pet cougar, or a rescued cougar or whatever, but I'm quite curious. There has actually been a population overflow, they're starting to wander away from the Hills searching for their own territory....a few livestock and pets have been killed by the crazy cougars....bah. Just random rambling there.

I shall head off now to eat, probably play more with The Sims 3. Yay for Grim babies growing up to be Grim boys! :)

Makin' Babies With Da Reaper! :O

The Sims 3 brings out the worst of me, I swear. Thanks to the new addiction of making Grim Reaper babies, I have now sounded more racist than I EVER have. I mean, the babies are BLACK! And even that sounds weird, because they aren't, at least not really...as in, if you mixed races, you usually get some version of brown, right? Here, they would make gray. It's THAT sort of black. Plus it's quite odd when it's bright and sunny out, and all you really see is their eyes... o.O

So to recap on my Grim baby experience: I had Grim move in, as per the demands of the new patch. Bah, certainly doesn't bother me, because Grim's about the hottest looking premade sim in the game. :O Anywaysss, it took a few tries, but I got mah girl pregnant. I was more surprised it happened on the first try, it's a 50-50 chance after all....and because I wanted a cool name, but couldn't think of one, I named it Valerius. I thought it was appropriate with the black skin/black additude type of thing. :P

Second try happened this morning. And they're twinssssss! :D Granted it took a LOT of TV and radio time, but I think it was worth it. They're both boys, one white, one black. I was rather bummed though, I wish I could see what they look like and who I'm naming. I was hoping that if I named one Kyrian, it'd be white, the opposite of Val. Again, very appropriate. Buuuut since I didn't know if I'd get white, much less twins, I just named it Kyrian on the spot. Then the name thing came up again for his twin, so I named that one Julian! :D

But oh well, Kyrian gets to be black like Val. Maybe that's supposed to be a lesson, that even though they hate each other, they're really not that much different. :O

I hate how racist this post sounds....but it's kinda funny too! No other way to describe them, really...bah.

Less Than Two Weeks Left...

Why thank you, Dark-Hunter BBS, for screwing with us once again. I did everything you ever wanted, I didn't take matters into my own hands, and I confronted you, the moderators, when something wasn't quite right. And this was what, Monday night when I sent that email? It's Wednesday night now, dammit. Either you guys are REALLY behind on checking your email or you're just ignoring me. I would usually shrug it off and say "Ah, they're probably just really busy with the new website." Well guess what? You've sort of neglected the old BBS in the process. So if you really are ignoring my email, I'd say that is VERY rude.

Honestly, the least you could do is send an email back saying "We read your email, and we are looking into this situation." FAKE IT, dammit, don't do a fucking thing, but just ignoring the whole thing is EXTREMELY irritating. And don't get me started on Judy targeting Talia and me. Where's her "odd comment" response now, when there's a dozen or more "Good morning/noon/night!" posts on the front page? Assholes...

Ahhh...onto better news...

I found out today that I can check Facebook through my USD email. I was quite pleased, especially since that is an email primarily for school-related stuff. :P

Also, I love the people of UnoZoni. :D First of all, I came across one of their cooks at the fair the other day. It was absolutely awesome, especially since we never see them outside of the restaurant! Plus he had his girlfriend with him, which I thought was also very adorable....then we were talking with the owner, Ted, and he said they might open a little shop in Vermillion near the campus!
