Baby, It's Cold Outside...

No, literally, it's COLD. I'm not a fan of cold. And yet I adore the idea of winter, and Christmastime, and snow. Key word: idea. Christmas I can embrace, but the snow and cold I could do without. But that's what we get with winter.

Speaking of Christmas...my dorm room has a small touch of Christmas! I went Walmart shopping with Sam and Jean, so we got a bunch of garland and lights to decorate. I got some pretty awesome garland to wrap along my bed, but I kind of wish I could just go all-out. Maybe I can get some more soon. Sam's room is amazing though, I helped her decorate it Monday night. Garland along the ceiling, lights along the bed, and even a small Christmas tree under Mollie's bed. Success! Then we listened to Christmas music while we decorated. :3

I also adore Trans-Siberian Orchestra. To the point I really need to stop mentioning them period.

At least this week was not as stressful as I thought it would be, but I think that's because I put everything off till this week. Bad idea, but I'm hoping it works out. I thought I had a column to write this week, but since Heather didn't send me an email about it at all, it's one less thing for me to worry about. And if I do, well then I have an idea that I could probably roll out quick.

I really wish I could just curl up in a corner and read. I've been trying to get through Up in Smoke, but I haven't really had the time. Also, I noticed today that my book is getting kind of worn down--that white line where the book bends often is prominent now, and there's a small tear in the back cover. It makes me cry inside, I love having my books in the best possible shape. Gah...I guess I'll have to combat this OCD moment and get over it. But still, I want to read it, not do all this stupid studying.

So for this next week:
  • I have to go back to campus early, by 3 pm Sunday. I'm depressed about it, but we do need to work on this group presentation for speech. Ours is on Friday, which is a definite plus. Downside, I don't like going back so damn early. :/
  • Sunday night, I have an Honors Association meeting that I'll most likely forget about at 8. I don't like meetings on Sunday nights either, but as I completely spaced on the Execs Only meeting last week (oh, Adam Lambert, you...) I really should make an effort to come this time around.
  • Wednesday is our first Student Advisory Board meeting. Finally, something I have been looking forward to!
  • Our Project 4 reports are due Tuesday for Survey of Business, and I'm slowly in the process of editing them. After a couple hours of crying, I got a good portion done (I hope). However, we also need to do the group presentation on Thursday. Speech presentation Friday, this presentation Thursday...thanks spacing those so close.
  • Thursday is our Final test in Rock & Roll Appreciation, also. Business presentation at 2 pm, and a Final at 3:30. Great, even more shitty time crunches. :/
  • Friday is when our Final papers are due in Mass Comm, too. PLUS our final test in that class. Final test and presentation Thursday, presentation Friday with a Final paper AND last test. I plan on dying during those final days.
As you can see, I should probably be screaming right now. Never have I wished for a Dead Week so badly as I want one now.

All I want to do is put up our Christmas tree here at home. Sigh...

Lambert and Laptops: Sexiness Galore!

Ohhh is this laptop sexy....and why yes, this is my first post using my new laptop! I can see where it's a bit of a fingerprint magnet, as everything is glossy. Seriously, even the keyboard is glossy! But I don't mind that; I had used my previous laptop so often that I made the f and j letters on the keyboard smooth. Those, and the spacebar. But it's so amazing, and it came with a cleaning cloth, so I've been wiping it down every time I've finished using it. Bottom line: I LOVE THIS FREAKING THING!!!

Even better, it flies on the Internet. I can actually log onto my USD account now, yes!

And as for other awesome news: I got my grubby little hands on the new issue of Rolling Stone! YES, I can now stare at the sexiness that is Adam Lambert whenever I damn well please! :D

I haven't read the article all the way through, just reached halfway...and I must say, he is VERY intriguing. And in a very good way. *purr*

God, that chest....

Oh, and it's also my parents' 25th anniversary. I have to say, I'm especially glad, proud, and blessed that my parents are still married. It's rare to see marriages last this long anymore, and as I've seen many of my own relatives divorce, I feel pretty lucky. I just hope they last another 25 years... :)

Such a Mad, Mad World

Ahhhh it's Wednesday....not quite drowning yet, so that's a good thing. :)

I went out to eat today at the Cracker Barrel, then made a stop at B&N and Michael's. Damn, I usually love to walk out of a bookstore with at least one book. Not the case as of late though, I feel guilty for not reading the others I already got. But I got some ebony pencils at Michael's, so yay for crafts! :P

And IT'S AMERICAN IDOL FINALE NIGHT!!! *purr*

I really don't think I'll be all that disappointed if Adam doesn't win tonight, though. It takes a certain taste in music to enjoy him; on the other hand, Kris has got the pop edge that American Idol strives for.

Either way, an amazing artist ends up winning tonight. Even if I'm not a fan of Kris Allen....who's kinda cute....but not in the smokin'-Adam-hot way....mwahaha..... :P

On another note, I was also not disappointed with how Dancing with the Stars ended. YAY SHAWN!

As awesome as Gilles was, I think Shawn turned out to be a formidable opponent...I mean, come on. She's an Olympic champion, and the same age as me. I can't help but not be disappointed!!

Not to mention I know what both of them were thinking...
Gilles: "Oh man, I'm going up against the Olympian. She's got basically all of America on her side."
Shawn: "Oh man....really man....look at him, he's really kinda cute....no way I've got a chance against him, little me against him? He was REALLY good at dancing from the beginning too!"

However, I'm pretty sure I know what the professionals were thinking too....
Cheryl: "Whoa, I swore we didn't have a shot when we first started...Gilles is a really good dancer, but I have no clue where all those fan votes have been coming from! And to be this close to a third championship....whoa...."
Mark: "Holy crap, we're up against Cheryl. We're gonna lose, we're gonna loooose...."

What the professionals didn't know was that they too have a fan base....come on, Cheryl definitely formed her own fan group, so she had a strong chance. And don't forget, Mark's got his Ballas-Hough Band with the other dancer! Soooo throw in all the possibilities, and it explains why there was a 1% difference in the combined voting/dance scores....

Melissa didn't have a chance.

Man....now I wanna go play Sims 2.....hmmm how to find a way to peel myself off of Facebook....argh, my archnemesis the Facebook.... :P

Ah well, I'll find something.

And I sorta wish it was Sunday again today. :/

Last Day of Adroom. *Sigh*.

Well, Donald Trump always manages to keep people on the edge of their seats. Not shocked, 'cause this was almost expected. But seriously, the idiot does a pretty damn job at picking his winners on Celebrity Apprentice. Yeah, I was pissed when he voted Pierce over Trace Adkins. PIERCE MORGAN, come on!! And this season wasn't much different: Joan Rivers, seriously? Even Pierce hated the woman, and you still picked her!!! And on top of it, Rivers raised a measly $150,000. You can barely buy a house with that sort of money. It's like a night's rent in one of Trump's suites....ok, maybe a month, tops. But how much did Duke raise in the competition? $460,000. Over DOUBLE what Rivers raised. And why wasn't she chose? Because apparently her party wasn't as impressive as Rivers'. SERIOUSLY?! How the hell did Trump earn all of his money, by blowing thousands on a party that costs more money than it reaps? Or by, oh I don't know, actually making money. Yeah, real smart Trump.

Ya wanna read it, it's here: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2009/05/11/2009-05-11_joan_rivers_wins_celebrity_apprentice.html

Alsoooo, right now is American Idol time. :D I can't help it, the artists they have on this season are AMAZING! As for Adam Lambert.....oh my.....oh hell yes.....I just wish they hadn't voted off Allison last week. She was so freaking awesome. Sure hope she pulls off a Chris Daughtry and comes out with an album of her own :).

Sexy, so sexy...

Today was the last day of adoom. And I mean no more adroom parties, no more wasting away life for a half hour with the greatest people alive...gah...tomorrow is technically the last normal day of school, but even that adroom was stripped from us as we have to practice for graduation--without our adroom teacher!! Grrrr, why....why do I have to graduate without our amazing adroom teacher there...*sigh*.

I'll be so happy to be over with journalism. If I have to write another boring news story again, it'll be too soon...

Ah, interesting moment this morning: a friend was cleaning out his locker, came across a textbook from Washington, of all places. Ironically, I recognized the name inside. Smalllllll world, too damn small of a world. But I hope we can get it back to him soon.

And I really wanna kill my ex sometimes. Just wanna put that out there... :P

Oh, && I get to go watch Richard in Fuddy Meers on the 21st. Yay! :D

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit Adam Lambert is pure sex with that voice...I think it's that weakness I have for men with black hair....oh wait, I have a weakness for men in general! lol.

This blog definitely needs its own little graphic on top...maybe on bottom too, we'll see...at least I have some banner making to look forward to. :P
