Epic Vacation Journey! - Day 1

I really had no idea this pen was purple till I started writing with it. Yes, I wrote this stuff in a journal, because I was without wi-fi for most all of it. Go figure. :/ Anyways, the package was purple and I knew the pen was gel, but still....and yeah, the pen is also purple, but I've been fooled before.

So this was a rather thrilling start to vacation. Spending our first night with tornado watches in the area....and we're in a trailer. Yeep.

I'm really glad I brought my laptop along. I was able to upload all 355 pictures at the end of the day, and hopefully I can delete them so I can get rid of the July 4th photos. Or I can do that via the laptop....

But between the picture taking and album listening in the car, it took me WAY too damn long to finish Don't Bargain with the Devil. I'm ashamed of myself....If I had actually paid attention, I probably would've had it done by the time we reached Mitchell, or Chamberlain at the latest. Yeah, forget that.

Al's Oasis was pretty cool too, as always. Our poor waitress though, she was blamed for losing our order when it really wasn't her fault. I just hope our tip was large enough to make her feel better. On another note, there were some pretty cute guys swarming the area too...I only got a picture of one of them though, 'cause he was sitting next to us. Two of them walked past outside, but it's hard to get pictures when it's dark inside and light outside, etc...but those other two outside were HOT.

Then when we made it to Pierre, we ended up getting directions from Uncle Ron on how to reach him at this old run-down house. Him and Aaron were taking out windows from it for salvage, because the guy was going to tear down the house and rebuild. I think the owner's a lawyer or something...very typical since the house is along the river. :P But anyways, we got to watch them take down a window (Dad had to help) and we got to say hi to Aaron too! :)

Later we checked out the Heritage Museum, then had Uncle Ron drive us around the Pierre area and to the Oahe Dam. I got lots of cool sunset photos there, plenty to experiment with! And only a little rain surprisingly.

Awesome Cousin I've Got, Right...

I am just about to start an epic retelling of my vacation, but first, I think I should start with the goings-on of yesterday.

Monday was pretty typical, but pretty fun. Mom and I went to the Attic for lunch with the relatives, and we got to see the aunts and uncles....then Tiffany showed up, so it was awesome to see her! Tia and Tessa were also there, which was also really cool, and Tessa's birthday was Monday too, so she was spoiled. As usual. Silly aunts....mostly Aunt Ruth does the spoiling though.

Then after lunch, we went to Vision Care to pick up my mom's new pair of glasses. They're cute, and she likes them, so I'm happy. :P

Been doing quite a bit of reading, or at least trying to. I started Tina Donahue during the trip, called Close to Perfect. Super hot cover and super hot book, but I wish I was farther in than I am. :/

I'm also looking forward to my birthday, sort of. One week to the day. I told my parents I wanted the Sims 3 for my birthday, which I'm somewhat looking forward to? I'm iffy because of people's complaints, but I think sometimes people just whine too much.

And on top of it, I'll be 18. And I have no clue if I'll have a party, or celebrate, or whatever. It's just....why put the work into it, when I'll be stressing about impressing everyone else. I'll be more concerned about whether everyone else is enjoying themselves, when it's a party for myself....which is point #2--I hate celebrating myself. It makes me feel conceited, self-centered, etc. :/ Ah well....

And surprise! Whymyexsucks.com thought Jackass's three flaws were worthy of popping up on the site. Surprised me at least, but I was especially pleased by the title. What can I say, there's always a rogue in the family...or a very stupid relative. Check it here --> http://whymyexsucks.com/post/140788695/awesome-cousin-youve-got

So I'm going to make this post quick. My battery's getting low and I don't know if I should plug it in as there are storms in the area and we're in a hotel....but I don't know whether or not the hotel thing really makes a difference or not. BUT anyways...

This is actually day 2 of our vacation, halfway through! I documented day 1, so that's taken care of, but this will REALLY be out of order if I report today, yada yada, so I shall just write down today's stuff also. If I have time tomorrow, I'll write it all down, have the laptop plugged in, everything PERFECT....Ahhhh.

On the trip, I *am* keeping a hot guy pictorial journal also...might as well, you know! ;) But anyway, my main goal is to get photos deleted from the camera (apparently the card can hold over 1000 photos?), and maybe upload a bunch of them to Facebook. I have access to FACEBOOK from here, YAY! :P

ANYWAYS, I'm off to get things settled and such, & enjoy the thunder outside...

Always Be Prepared!

Wow, is there a downpour outside right now...Bad thing is, I have an urge to grab the camera, pop the garage door up a little bit and take some photos of it. Probably a bad idea though, there's lightning with it. And quite a lot of rain, so it would probably find its way through the door. But man, is it fun to listen to...

Oh my, now hail has appeared. Now that's not so cool. But still better than tornadoes. :/

And apparently hail/strong rain won't stop me from taking photos, I went ahead and took a bunch through the garage door anyways. Woot!

Earlier today we had some last minute shopping trips to make before we head out to the Hills tomorrow. First was Lewis to drop off some mail; then to Vision Care Associates to pick up my new glasses! I have to admit, I love the new frames. :) Then we went to Cracker Barrel to eat; Barnes & Noble to look around.....gah, EVERYTHING was moved around in B&N. I was so lost...then they decided to move the romance section to where the humor was, which is taller shelves and darker corners...I like my books brighter....which reminds me, I need to look into this vampire series I came across. First person, vampires, and sort of Sookie-like....however I think it's a male character and as loose as Sookie, but for some reason that doesn't bother me so much...not to mention one of the books didn't even say anything about a female romantic interest, so maybe there won't be a particular one for me to latch onto. Won't bother me any!

So after B&N, we went to Hobby Lobby; then KMart, where I got to say hi to Nicole and Brandon! Those two are awesome.....stocked up on Joe Boxer apparel....then my mom oh so conveniently stumbled across Hoops & YoYo lounge pants & sleep shirts!! Oh my, were they adorable....Then a trip to Walmart that was mostly disappointing, wiht the exception of finding Rapture! I was hoping Jacquelyn Frank would come out with that book soon.

Uhmmm....I think right now my main goal is to finish Don't Bargain with the Devil tonight, because I'm so close...so close...as in just over 50 pages left. And I really don't want to bring a book that's got so little left to go!

Dammit, now the parents want me to give the dog a bath too before he goes to the boarding kennel tomorrow. Come on. We've done enough already. Ah well.... :/

Stupid People Piss Me Off.

I'm getting really sick of people and their whining. I'm sick of my own whining. Granted, I know many would say that venting and ranting is different from whining, but that's what it feels like to me...I don't like to bore others with my problems. Because it drags the conversation down, and it might drag them down, and what I need most from friends is happiness. Sooo...that's mostly why I feel like I've been doing nothing but complaining.

There are way too many people who do hardcore whining nowadays, though. I swear, I need to stop reading comments posted online. I made the mistake of reading the comments on Alice and Kev, that cool website with two homeless Sims 3 people. Honestly, most people need to SHUT UP. If you have nothing good to say about it, don't say it at all. As of late, posts are alternating between Kev and Alice. Kev is entirely photos, without words. People, GET OVER IT. Do you have an explanation for his wandering around the countryside? Oh wait, is that a NO I heard from you? Well durr, didn't it occur to you that the author ALSO has no fucking clue what he's doing? And on top of that, there's something called Free Will on the stupid game. The author already said he does as little manipulating as possible on the game, which is why all interactions with other characters are all done on their own free will. Dammit.....

And another thing: the website is not a fucking STORY. It's an experiment, to see just what will happen if you take two characters, make them as homeless as possible, then leave them alone to their own machinations. You don't like a post without words? Do you really want the author to come up with a retarded storyline that may turn out WRONG in the end? Fine, go find someplace else. Someone already ripped the idea off on the Sims 3 website, you can go read her shit. And it really was shit....I much prefer Robin's version. He won't even stoop so low as to narrate every damn photo. "Kev is walking across a field. And still walking. And now he's crossing a bridge." Fuck, that'd get so boring I'd quit in a second.

But when there's no words, we can only wonder what's going on. And I like that.

Now because I just want to say it: Jackass isn't just a jackass, he's a total ASSHOLE. I can't believe my cousin is stupid enough to not see that, but I guess I'd thought wrong. And I will celebrate when he moves away, so much...He tried doing things on his terms again with me. "I'm willing to talk, but someone's not responding". Burn in hell, asshole, you sure weren't willing to talk before! Just because YOU want to now, on YOUR terms, doesn't mean I want to. Fucking get over yourself.

Then on top of it, when I told him what bothered me, he defended himself. As usual. By sending the retarded message "I don't". You DO asshole, or I wouldn't have a fucking problem with it in the first place! And what the fuck did you think you don't do, huh? You don't talk about my cousin nonstop? You don't have a life? You don't have anything better to do? Well look at that, those two have some pretty substantial evidence to back me up. God....

See, that's why I don't like venting. It riles me up, then it takes forever for me to calm down. :/

But anyways, back to my actual life....I've been bitten quite a bit the past two days, with the 4th of July and helping the neighbors cut down branches. Earlier there was a bite on my right ankle that was bothering me to no end, but now the other one on my left ankle is what really itches...grrr.

Today I had lunch with Aunt Mary & Aunt Ruth too, so that was really cool. We went to the Olive Garden, and OH. MY. GOD. The Tour of Italy platter was HUGE, but absolutely amazing!! I had to bring about half of it home, but it was so worth it...

Then Wednesday is our trip to the Hills! I'm looking forward to it so much, I can hardly stand it....let's just see if I can talk the parents into letting me bring the new laptop along. :)

Every Time You Watch Ghost Adventures, Two Spirits Are Having Sex

So if a person has no respect for hypocrites, yet is dating a hypocrite and knows it (or at least ignores the fact), wouldn't that person be a hypocrite?

Fascinating how that works out.

It's the 4th of July, yay! I'm really excited to go see the family, that's going to be awesome as usual. Then we're going to watch the fireworks show at the fairgrounds, so that'll also be fun. I just hope that 1) it doesn't rain on us, and 2) we can go out and get batteries for my camera, because I want to take pictures!! Sheesh...

Annnnd....well, that's about the most that's been going on since what, yesterday?.....*sigh*. Ah well.

Man, every time I look at my title banner on this blog thing, I think back to the Hills and want to go back so bad. But I will! Very, verrrrrry soon....just have to wait till Wednesday! :)

My parting quote is from last night on Ghost Adventures: "Do you think we caught two spirits having sex? --Well you might've interrupted something!"

Calling Him Out and Tech Questions...

Well....

Yelling at Jackass did make me feel a bit better. I finally had a chance (and a good reason) to call him an asshole, then just chew him out for all the shit he's pulled on me these past weeks. Took a while, but I squeezed an apology out of him. Granted it didn't come till he tried to tell me that I was "following" him and commenting on everything he did on Facebook. Ahhh, that I wanted to smack him on the face for, so I just yelled at him some more. Sure did work, especially when I told him plenty: that I had better things to do with my time than to follow him around, that I had a life, and that he only thinks that because he wants me to follow him. That last one made me feel REALLY good, and threw him off a little too. But it's a lot more probable than he thinks. He's so insecure about a multitude of things....*sigh*.

But all in all, I think he got the message. I'm done with having to do things on his terms--if he wants to talk to me, I will be as cordial or as pissy as I feel at the time. And if he asks what's the matter, then I'll tell him to shove it up his ass. He should've been there for me when I needed him, and he missed his shot. So if he thinks he can be there for me now (or anytime soon), he can forget it. He's going to have to abide by MY rules dammit, I'm not living on his terms. Unlike Keni, I actually have a backbone.

Now that I got that off my chest.....I need to get ahold of Ryan sometime soon. My computer's down to 288 GB of space, and I don't know what's happened with the missing gigabytes. When I bought it, it was 320...I do sort of expect a slight influx of gigs, but come on. Sure makes me thankful though that I'm friends with the Webmasta, so I can ask him and see what he has to say about it. :/

Also been figuring out how to add photos to this one. It's a bit weird, like it just imports them all into this photo gallery, basically one large folder for them all. Soooo...yeah.

Plus, I want to delete photos from this Kodak card too. Fourth of July is coming up really quick, as in tomorrow. :) More photo fun! And hopefully a chance to try out the rapid-fire feature on the camera. Got lots to learn about on this thing still.
